Daniel KOTLINSKI (bass baritone), Poland

The polish bass baritone started his studies with Barbara Iglikowska at the Danziger Academie before he moved to Florence/Italy where his teachers were the legendary Giorgio Favaretto, Lajos Kozma and Fedora Barbieri. Later he took lessons with Claudio Desderi in Fiesole and Rolando Panerai in Florenz.

Daniel Kotlinski gave concerts and opera performances with the conductors Zubin Mehta, Carlo Maria Giulini, Spiros Argiris, Massimiliano Caldi and Myung-wha Chung and worked with producers like Derek Jarman, Jonathan Miller, Liliana Cavani, Jean Pierre Ponnelle and Michael Hampe.

He took part in the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino Festival, in Montepulciano, Torre del Lago, Monte Carlo and the Kissinger Summer in Germany. Starting as a baritone, he say Figaro in Mozarts «Marriage of Figaro», as well as in «The Barber of Seville». He was Leporello in «Don Giovanni» and Salieri in «Mozart and Salieri», as well as Scarpia in «Tosca».

He sang the Italian premiere of «Moses and Aron» under Zubin Mehta and was the first italian Eddy in Turnages «Greek». He was Donner in Wagners «Rheingold», sang Raphael in «Die Schöpfung».

Daniel Kotlinski sings (and speaks) Italian, Russian, French, English, German and Polish.

As a professor, he teaches the traditional italian school of singing at his native accademy in Danzig and gives master classes in Italy.

He is jurry member of a number of international song competitions all over Europe.

He recently gave concerts in Florenz, Parma, Danzig and Bad Kissingen.
