Mikhail BUZIN (piano)

In 1990 he successfully graduated from the St.-Petersburg Conservatory where he completed his piano course and was offered a place of an accompanist at solo singing, opera training and choir direction classes.

1991 received a Diploma at the 1st All-Russian Accompanist Competition in Kazan. He also took part in numerous Vocal competitions: in Graz, in the Glinka Competition, the Rimsky-Korsakov Vocal Competition, the Obraztsova Competition, the Pechkovsky Competition and etc.

During the 1997-1998 concert season he worked as a pianist at the Academic Symphony orchestra of the St.-P. Philharmonic where he performed under the baton of Y. Temirkanov and A. Dmitriev.

Since 1996 he has been teaching at the accompaniment department of the Conservatory. Many pianists, alumnus and undergraduate students, are the laureates and Diploma holders of prestigious competitions and actively involved together with instrumentalists and singers in joined concert practice.

For some several years Mikhail Buzin has appeared at different venues of St.-Petersburg, Russia and abroad together with leading vocalists, instrumentalists, to name just a few: B. Shtokolov, S. Volkova, E. Hil, V. Krivonos, G. Sidorenko, M. Lukonin, N. Drozdova-Wayner, A. Dichkovsky, N. Morozova, N. Arsentyeva.
